Dutch Embassy in Amman runs an inclusive range of consular services to local, Dutch, and international citizens in Jordan.

 

The Dutch Embassy in Amman supports Jordanian citizens through its consular services, if they:

  • Need general or specific info regarding Dutch economy, culture, sports, education and more
  • Need information regarding requirements and process of getting Dutch Citizenship
  • Specific contacts and information in Netherlands
  • Want to apply and obtain Dutch Visa
  • Visa and Passport services
  • Dutch passport and visa from are issued only to citizens whose main residence is in Netherlands and Jordan.

  • Create job opportunities for the Syrian refugees and Jordanian in farming production and associated value chain businesses
  • Improve food security and reduce the risks associated with insufficient food assistance to Syrian refugees by improving productivity and sustainability of horticulture sector in Jordan
  • Sharpen the technical skills of Jordanians and Syrians including knowledge providers and workers in production and throughout the value chain and enhance research and advisory capacity
  • Create partnerships among Dutch and Jordanian businesses including producers, suppliers, and traders
  • Develop and disseminate knowledge on new systems and technologies among Jordanians and Syrian refugees that are better suited for the climate in the region and the farming practices

Project Duration

The program started in 2017 and runs until 2021.

Contribute to enhancing the horticulture sector through introducing innovations into the value chain and creating job opportunities for both Jordanians and Syrian refugees.

Your Commitment

  • Demonstrate the financial ability to invest at a rate of not less than 50% of the total cost of establishing the project in addition to the operating costs of production management and marketing of agricultural products.
  • Provide a suitable site for the construction of the project
  • The ability to implement and follow-up the crop and the presence of an agricultural engineer supervising the project or a liaison officer with sufficient agricultural experience to follow up and implement the experts.
