This project is implemented by NARC:

NARC, considered the scientific arm of the Ministry of Agriculture and the only specialized governmental agricultural research institution at the national level, to constitute national umbrella for applied agricultural research and governmental agricultural consultations. Since its early beginnings, NARC aimed at utilizing the outcomes of agricultural research that are developed locally or devised from other sources for the purposes of increasing agricultural production -both plant and animal- while improving its efficiency and quality and conserving the agricultural natural resources and optimizing their use, serving the purposes of agricultural development and ecological balance.

This is closed project. The program duration was two year.

Project Details

The aim of the project is to improve the living conditions and resilience of Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians around Maru Research Stations (Irbid governorate),Al-Karamehand Al- Hussein Research Stations, dairalla research center (Balqa’a governorate), Ghor Safi (Karak governorate),Al-Mafraq Agricultural Research Center and alkhaldeh research station (Al-Mafraq governorate), (Balqa’a governorate) against the effects of the Syrian war on Jordan.

We believe that it is possible by training while hiring the skilled and unskilled women and men (Jordanians and Syrian refugees) in different tasks related to organic agriculture, preservation and propagation of native / landraces species, and sustainable development, conservation of natural resources through carrying out agricultural activities that would combat environmental problems in Jordan.
